Kurt M.A. Kisto is the Executive Director of New Hayven Merchant Bank; and brings over 25 years of experience as an executive, entrepreneur, adjunct lecturer, development financier and private equity professional, in the Latin America and the Caribbean Region.

He is a former Executive Director of the Inter-American Development Bank Group, Washington D.C. where he chaired the Bank’s sovereign lending committee and a special task force to fortify the Bank’s credit rating. Former Sr. Managing Director, Latin America and Caribbean region for an Emerging Market Private Equity firm, where he was a member of the firm’s Global Investment Committee. He is also Executive Director of Cedros Capital Partners, which is focused on private equity for small and medium sized enterprises and real estate in Guyana.

Former President and CEO in the property development and real estate sectors in Panama, and a former CEO in the Forestry, Port & Marine operations sectors in Guyana. He was also Private Sector Specialist for UNDP Caribbean, and a Business Development Consultant for the Iwokrama Rain Forest project in Guyana. While in Guyana he served as President of the Guyana Forest Producers Association, and as a member of the Board of Directors of the Guyana Forestry Commission, and the Guyana Private Sector Commission.

Mr. Kisto has served on the Board of Directors of several corporations, business, and private sector organizations. He was an adjunct professor, both at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the areas of Caribbean Business Environment, Business Strategy and Policy, International Business, and International Money and Finance. Mr. Kisto was born in Trinidad & Tobago and speaks English and Spanish. He has lived and worked in Guyana, Panama, Dominican Republic and in Washington D.C. USA.
